Grandchester is located in the scenic Lockyer Valley; 60 minutes drive southwest of Brisbane and 50 minutes east of Toowoomba. The closest towns to the Retreat are Laidley, which is 16km to our west, and Rosewood, which is 19km to our east. The local area is steeped in pioneering history and townships such as Marburg and Tallegalla are well worth the detour on your way home.
The property was first settled in the early 1800s - the original Homestead built in the 1920's is testimony to Australia's colonial past but has recently been revived with the indulgent touch of Peppers. Peppers Hidden Vale has 30 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, large conferencing facilities and Cotton's Restaurant in the heart of the homestead.
