Conference activities include horse riding, 4WD tours, nature walks and swimming pool activities. The use of our Ropes Course and abseil facility with our leaders is available at an additional cost.
Student Groups...
Packages are designed to suit individual group requirements. Kroombit Park has a large camping area for tents as well as an affordable bush cabin section for groups.
Several college groups visit Kroombit Park every year and some of the things they come to study and learn about are –
- Semi Arid Grazing Country and Erosion
- Diversification of the Farming Industry
- Study the coral reefs of 360 million years ago (when Lochenbar was under the sea) and compare it with the Coral Reef of today off Heron Island

| Kroombit Park is nestled in 5 acres of eucalypt forest on Lochenbar Cattle Station, 35km from Biloela in Central Queensland. Kroombit Park is 2 hours drive south of Rockhampton, 1¾ hours west of the Port of Gladstone and is adjacent to the Kroombit Tops National Park. Kroombit Park provides and outback cattle station, farm stay holiday experience inland from the coast. |

Group Activities...
- Abseil down a tower built around the trunk of a Blue Gum Tree
- Try out the Ropes Course
- Learn to crack a whip and throw a boomerang
- Feed the farm animals
- Learn about the alternative farm industries
- Cool off in the swimming pool
- Be entertained in our unique style hall with Australian Bush dancing and entertainer or join in a sing a long around the campfire

As well as activities on the cattle station, Kroombit provide guided area tours to
local places of interest such as 'the Silo' a local Primary Industry Exhibition,
Callide Power Station and Museum, Callide Mine Lookout, Callide Dam and
Mt Scoria. Aquaculture farming where you are able to sample the local red claw
is also very popular. There are many other places of interest to visit.
