The town of Mudgee is set in the picturesque countryside west of the Blue Mountains and a scenic 3½ hours drive from Sydney. The Mudgee area is well known for its bountiful array of local produce; most particularly it's honey and the many fine wineries, olive groves and fresh fruit and vegetables. The local arts and crafts industry has also blossomed and the area boasts a number of galleries and gift stores.
